Creepy

Finally we went to Hobbiton.
The tour cost $58 (NZ Dollars) per person and we really expected alot
more value for money, which was just not there.
I recommend that you only go to Hobbiton if you're a HUGE LOTR's fan.

Hobbiton

I like this picture. On the top left side is Bilbo's home.
It was the biggest home in all of Hobbiton.
I must confess that I wished that Hobbiton looked like it did in the movie.
But as you can see, it wasn't. The props were all pulled down and sent
to Wellington to either be shipped back to Hollywood studio's or be destroyed.
I hope not the latter.

The Tree

This is the reason the movie was filmed here. Well not because of Nico and I :-)
But because of this tree and the lake that is next to it.

More Hobbit Homes

Sam's home

The Hobbit hole with the chimney is Sam's home.

Bilbo's Home

This is the entrance to Bilbo Baggin's home.
Yeah I know what you're saying,.. it looks nothing like it.
On the top of the picture below, is the rest of Bilbo's home.

The Lake

This is the lake where Bilbo's 111th birthday party was held.
The picture below is what it looked like for the movie.

Italian Renaissance Garden

This is a garden at the Hamilton Botanical Gardens, 126km from Auckland City.
This Botanical Garden boasts a number of gardens from around the world.
- Chinese Scholar's Garden
- Japanese Garden of Contemplation
- Indian Char Bagh Garden
- English Flower Garden
- American Modernist Garden
There were also other flower gardens, but these were my favourites.
Well, except for the American Garden. That was aweful.
