1st Fishing Trip on a Boat

We hired this boat over the weekend and went out into the BIG Blue on our 1st fishing trip on a boat, with some friends :-)

We have been kayak fishing before, but is was definately much more fun.

This is no ordinary work bench. Nope, it was built by Nico. It's probably one of the most expensive work benches ever built, but, it's sturdy and looks good too.

That's me, braving it out on this piece of man made rock. It was scary, but I did it, and I loved it!!! I felt safe knowing that Nico was belaying for me, and I actually made it to the top, Twice !

This was our afternoon out at an in-door climbing centre just outside Auckland City Centre. Nico is getting chalked up for the rest of the climb.

Hot!!

At low tide you carry a spade onto the beach, dig a deep enough hole to lie in, and you have a hot tub. The water is steaming hot!! There is an underground river that gets heated by volcanic activity and the hot water seeps to the surface. Awesome stuff!!!
